Earn While You Learn:


Pitt Electric, Inc. along with your local high schools is offering you a chance to "earn while you learn". This program is especially designed for college/tech prep juniors and seniors with good grades.

You can take your class work in the mornings at high school and train as an apprentice in the afternoon. Our company will assist with your books and tuition while you complete your electrical apprenticeship training at Pitt Community College.

If you are mechanically inclined and interested in a career in the electrical trade area, the apprenticeship program may be your ticket to a bright future. If you are interested contact your High School Career Development Coordinator or contact the Apprenticeship Coordinator at Pitt Electric, Inc.

Pitt Electric, Inc.'s Apprenticeship Program For Employees:


Pitt Electric, Inc. Offers its employees the opportunity to participate as a student in the Apprenticeship Program. Sometimes our students/employees who have graduated from the Apprenticeship Program not only work for Pitt Electric, Inc. but also at Pitt Community College teaching the Apprenticeship Program to other Pitt Electric, Inc. employees.

Pitt Electric, Inc. pays the employees expenses for the Apprenticeship Program and then deducts a minimal fee out of your paycheck each week. While completing the Apprenticeship Program, you will be eligible for a fifty cent per hour increase every six months of employment as long as classes are completed in a satisfactory manner and job performance is commendable. When you complete the 4 year program, Pitt Electric, Inc. will reimburse your expenses with an agreement for continued employment of at least one year.

When the course is completed you will receive a North Carolina and US Government Journeyman's certificate. You can't lose, always remember that no matter what people try to take from you, YOUR EDUCATION is something they cannot steal.
