Part of the Pitt Electric mission is "providing a healthy, safe and rewarding environment for our employees." That is critically important to us. One of the ways that we carry out that mission is through our Apprentice Electrician Program in Greenville, Raleigh and Wilmington.

An apprenticeship is one of the best ways for a person to develop their skills in a trade. The opportunity to be immersed on a daily basis in the trade and to learn from an experienced expert in the field will help you develop the skills you need to build a career and set you up for long-term success.

Now is one of the best times to start your electrical career. There is a shortage of electrical workers as many electricians are starting to retire and there are not enough young people who are hungry to take on the trade to replace them.

If you like to work with your hands, feel a sense of accomplishment each day and solve challenging tasks, our apprenticeship program could be for you. You will receive in-depth on-the-job training from Pitt Electric's expert electricians. You will learn the skills you need to pursue a career in the electrical industry and you will have an opportunity to advance your career right here at Pitt Electric.

Many of the participants in our apprenticeship program start as Commercial Electrical Helpers. After completing the apprenticeship program and building a strong record as an excellent, dependable employee, they receive career advancement opportunities with us.

We work with community colleges, trade schools and high schools all across North Carolina to help find people who have a strong interest in turning a trade into a career, and then giving them the opportunity to do so. Developing skills in a trade is an excellent alternative to going to a four-year college or university and then finishing with a mountain of debt and few job prospects.

We are looking for motivated, hard-working people to join our company! If you are interested in the Pitt Electric Apprenticeship Program the first step is to apply for one of the Commercial Electrical Helper jobs on our Jobs Available page.
